This intrusion, as well as Goose Egg Mountain and two other dikelike bodies of similar lithology, Kloochman Rock and Chimney Peaks, are of mid-Tertiary age but have not been dated. Whether they are feeders for andesite in the Fifes Peak Formation is problematic. T h e Westfall Rocks and Goose Egg intrusions are probably connected at depth but have joint patterns that suggest they are separate bodies at the present level of exposure.
